Most Singapore glass damage — scratches, hardwater stains, acid etching, hazing — can be restored without panel replacement. Lion City Glass is the specialist team property owners, facility managers, and MCSTs call when ordinary cleaning has stopped working. Same-week service, fixed-price quotes, island-wide.
What Lion City Glass restores
We are Singapore’s specialist glass restoration team — not a general cleaning company. Every job we take on is glass that has stopped responding to ordinary cleaning: scratches that cleaners cannot wipe out, hardwater stains that have bonded to the surface, acid or cement splatter that has etched the glass, or factory-finish haze that builds up after years of improper wiping. Restoration brings the panel back to optical clarity at roughly 30% of the cost of replacing it.
Common problems we solve
- Scratches and swirl marks — handling damage on shopfronts, scratch graffiti on retail glass, wiper marks on facades. See our glass polishing service.
- Hardwater and mineral stains — bathroom screens, balcony panels, pool-fronting glass and any panel hit by sprinkler overspray. See hardwater stain removal.
- Acid etching and chemical staining — fertilizer runoff, cleaning-chemical damage, post-renovation acid-wash residue. See acid etch removal.
- Cement, grout, and paint splatter — post-construction cleanup before handover. See cement and grout removal.
- Facade and skylight contamination — high-rise glass that needs rope access or elevated platform work. See facade restoration and skylight restoration.
Who we work with
We service HDB flats, condominiums, landed homes, shopfronts, retail outlets, hotels, commercial offices, and MCST-managed buildings. Property managers and facility managers are our most frequent repeat customers — for MCST scheduled maintenance programmes, hotel restoration cycles, and post-incident condominium restoration.
How a job typically runs
- Send a photo on WhatsApp. Most quotes can be issued from a clear photo plus rough dimensions — within 2 hours during working hours.
- Free site survey when a photo isn’t enough — typically within 24 hours, island-wide.
- Fixed-price written quote with scope, timeline, and any access requirements before any commitment.
- Job execution — most residential panels finish same-day; commercial and facade work runs to a scheduled programme.
- Optical clarity check and protective wipe-down before sign-off. Photos for the customer’s records.
Why restoration over replacement
Glass replacement is disruptive — it requires panel removal, sealant work, and often scaffolding or rope access for facade panels. Restoration is non-invasive: we work in place, on the existing panel, with no structural disturbance. For most damage types, the optical result is indistinguishable from new glass at a fraction of the cost. For more on this trade-off, see restoration vs replacement and Singapore restoration pricing.
